From the database of about 8000 Western Zhou bronze inscriptions, I wrote the paper named "An Essay on the Bureaucratic System of Western Zhou". The conclusions of the paper are as follows :1. The former studies on Western Zhou bureaucratic system which assumed hierarchical structure, are unproven.2. The essence of the order of Zhou kings is the direction on definite works, not on the position of a bureaucratic system.3. The direction on definite works is expressed as a term of "si- (si-) ". The posts of a bureaucratic system, for example, situ (situ) , sima (sima) , sigong (sigong) , derive from the term of "si (si) ".4. The term of "si (si) " means the direction on definite works, so it can not form the hierarchical structure of a bureaucratic system.

本文以近8000件西周金文为基础，撰写了《西周官制研究》一文。本文的主要结论如下：1.以往对西周官僚制的研究多采用等级制结构，缺乏实证.周王之命的实质是对一定工作的指导，而不是对一种官僚制度的定位.定功方向用“si-（si-）“表示。官僚体系中的职位，如situ（原位）、sima（司马）、sigong（司公）等，都是从“si（司）“一词派生出来的。“司”是指对一定工作的指导，不能构成官僚制的等级结构。
