Intelligent Industiral System Based on Information Infrastructure

In fixing Information Infrastructure, Intelligent Industrial System (IIS) is requested. In IIS,a small number of humans communicate with a large number of intelligent machines and intelligent agents, and obtain their goal. To realize the IIS,we realized three technical elements shown in the following items 1), 2) and 3), and verified the usefulness by using the integrated prototype system (human - intelligent mobile robot system) shown in the following items 4), 5) and 6).1) Communication by using Macroscopic Gestural Instruction :Humans communicate with intelligent robots by using Macroscopic Gestural Instruction through the Video information.2) Teaching to the robots based on the gestural instruction3) Function of solving the problem based on Knowledge Creation :Intelligent robots adapt itself to its environmental changes.4) Integration to the system for verifying :We realized the system which integrates the above three technical elements. In this system, a human communicates with plural intelligent agents and teaches to them by using Macroscopic Gestural Instruction, and obtains his goal. The robot was able to solve the simple problems by the function of solving the problem based on knowledge Creation.5) Estimation Experiment of IIS prototype :We estimated the usefulness of each technical element from experiments.6) Report on the results :We collected the results and wrote reports and papers.Particularly, the research on "1) Communiation by using Human Gestural Instruction" may realize an advanced interface by intelligent agents, so we have been proceeding with this research as an element of new basic research.
