未治療の扁平紅色苔癬におけるAmphotericin Bantifungul agents(Fungizonesyrup)とsteroid軟膏を用いた従来の治療法にBeta-caroteneを加えてその治療効果を判定し、Beta-caroteneの扁平紅色苔癬の治療効果と再発防止効果について評価することを目的として治療研究を行っている。1996年3月12日の時点で治療研究に同意を得ることのできた16例(女性15例、男性1例)の扁平紅色苔癬症例に対して、Beta-caroteneの内服および抗真菌剤とステロイドの局所投与を行っている。今までに脱落症例が2人あり、評価可能症例は14人である。治療期間は平均で36週間であり(最長68週間、最短12週間)、本治療法による副作用は、重篤なものは認められていないが、著明な橙皮症が4例に認められ、いずれもBeta-carotene内服の中断あるいは減量により症状の軽快をみた。本治療法により、疾患の完全消失を認められたのは1例のみであり、改善傾向を示している症例は6例、変化のない症例が6例であり、1例に症状の悪化が認められた。また、経過中に症状の再発を来たした症例が6例に認められた。治療開始前のビタミンB_1B_2B_<12>Cは全症例において正常値を示していた。カロテン類の測定は現時点では10例において終了しており、Beta-carotene、alpha-carotene、lycopene、Zeaxanthin/lutein、cryptoxanthin、retinol、alpha-tocopherolの平均値はそれぞれ43.70、5.99、12.65、63.81、31.08、63.36、818.88μg/dlであった。これらの値は、我々が行った疫学調査における粘膜疾患保有者の値と近似しており、本疾患保有者が低Beta-caroteneを示していることを裏付けた。現時点では、当初の中間解析を行う時期を20例と設定しているため詳細な検討はできないが、Beta-carotene単独投与では期待された効果が得られておらず、今後はビタミンC、Eを加えた内服治療の治療研究に発展させていくつもりである。

Amphotericin Bantificial agents(Fungizonesyrup) and steroid ointment are used in the treatment of untreated red lichen planus. Beta-carotene is added to determine the therapeutic effect. Beta-carotene is used in the treatment of red lichen planus. 16 cases of lichen planus (15 females and 1 male) were treated with Beta-carotene and antifungal agents at the time of March 12, 1996. There are 2 cases of drop-off and 14 cases of possible drop-off. The average treatment period was 36 weeks (longest 68 weeks, shortest 12 weeks). The side effects of this treatment method were serious and obvious. There were 4 cases of orange peel syndrome. This treatment method can completely eliminate the disease in 1 case, improve the tendency in 6 cases, change the disease in 6 cases, and change the symptoms in 1 case. There were 6 cases of recurrence of symptoms. Before the start of treatment, the B_1B_2B_<12>C showed normal values in all cases. The average values of Beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, lycopene, Zeaxanthin/lutein, cryptoxanthin, retinol and alpha-tocopherol were 43.70, 5.99, 12.65, 63.81, 31.08, 63.36 and 818.88μg/dl. In the case of the disease, the number of patients with mucosal disease is approximately the same as that of patients with low Beta-carotene. At present, the initial analysis period is 20 cases, the detailed discussion period is 20 cases, the Beta-carotene single investment period is 20 cases, and the expectation period is 20 cases. In the future, the oral treatment research period is 20 cases.
