〈研究対象者〉先の研究に協力してくれた21名のうち、16名の対象者から協力が得られ、面接調査を行った。対象者は、12名が東京都内に在住し、他4名が、埼玉県、千葉県、神奈川県、長野県に在住していた。勤務状況は、内科病棟に2名、外科病棟に6名、小児科病棟に2名、新生児・産科病棟に2名、精神科病棟2名、産業保健婦として2名が企業の健康管理室に勤務していた。〈質問紙の結果〉研究者作成の調査用紙に基づいた臨床場面での倫理的ジレンマの経験の有無については、数多くの経験をしており、勤務内容による特徴が見られた。内科、外科、小児科、新生児・産科病棟に勤務する対象者は「生命の尊重」「真実を告げること」に関する倫理的ジレンマあるいは倫理的問題を経験することが多く、一方、精神科、健康管理室に勤務する対象者は「個人の価値習慣」「秘密保持」に関する問題を経験していた。〈面接結果〉面接によって得た経験内容では、「生命の尊重」に関する問題が多かった。対象者は、倫理的な場面において、先に行った調査結果と同様、疑問を持ちながらも、多くの場合医師の指示に従うことが多く、協議することも多くはなかった。そのことの理由として、「自分の判断に自信がない」ということが多く挙げられた。倫理的原則は、対象者の大学4年生時に得た結果と比較可能した結果、学生時代よりも自分の倫理的原則を明確に答えられない者が多く存在し、倫理的ジレンマあるいは問題場面での看護婦の役割が分からないという者さえ存在した。臨床経験3年目で、視野的には拡がってきたが、まだ自らの考え・方向性は見いだされず、むしろ後退しているということが明らかになった。倫理的問題について、類似した問題がよく起こる病棟では、そのことについてよく話し合われ、対処ができていることが多かったが、まれにしか起こらない病棟では、十分な対処ができていないということも明らかになった。以上のことから、倫理的における継続教育の必要性と、通常倫理的問題が起こらない病棟に勤務する看護婦への教育も必要ということが示唆された。
