项目摘要

2022年度より前に行った研究では、ボランティアのジレンマ（集団内で少なくとも1人がコストを負担した場合に限って集団全体が利益を得られるような社会的ジレンマ状況）において人々が何を理想としているのか（どのように負担すべきコストを集団成員間で割り振るのが望ましいと考えているのか）、また、実際にボランティアのジレンマの状況に置かれたときにその理想を実現できるのかを検討した。その結果、人々が理想としている結果と実際に実現できる結果に差が生じる可能性が示された。2022年度は、このように理想と現実が乖離するメカニズムを明らかにするため、ボランティアのジレンマにおける人々の認知や行動を検討した研究を2件実施した。1件目の研究では、質問紙実験を通じて、ボランティアのジレンマで置かれた立場によって理想とする結果が変わる可能性を検討した。その結果、立場によらず、各集団成員の手元に残る利益が最終的に均一になることを人々は理想としていることが示された。2件目の研究では、経済ゲーム実験を通じて、ボランティアのジレンマにおいてコーディネーションが難しいために理想と現実が乖離する可能性を検討した。実験の結果、この可能性は支持された。具体的には、実験においてコーディネーション問題が起こり得る条件と起こり得ない条件を比較した結果、後者でのみ理想と現実の乖離はなくなった。上記の研究にかかわる成果は、Society for Personality and Social Psychologyの2023年大会などで発表された。
