Development of Nursing Care Skills for Improving the Quality of Life Senile Dementia Sufferes.

1. 老年痴呆患者的生活质量和护理研究现状关于日本治疗机构老年痴呆患者的护理，对过去5年（1990-1994年）发布的19份相关文件的调查显示，在这一领域一直在寻求一种有效的护理方法，目前正在制定一种普遍和系统的护理方法。提高老年人生活质量的护理技能的发展——通过问卷调查的研究鉴于此，本研究以从事老年护理的护士的意见为基础，通过问卷调查的方式，厘清护理技能对提高老年人生活质量的概念。本研究包括准备一份问卷，其中包含84个问题，关于这种护理的效果。该问卷是基于过去5年发布的上述19份文件。对50 9份有效问卷进行因素分析，结果显示护理技巧包括“适合患者个体的护理”、“提供必要的治疗和护理”、“避免患者隔离”、“维持准家庭关系”、“尊重患者个性”、“避免患者困惑”、“基于依恋的护理”、“身体管理”和“增强患者安全感”。未来的任务包括进一步发展老年人护理技能，包括以下因素：设计工具来衡量通过这些技能取得的结果（改善老年人的生活质量）；并基于这些技能和工具，建立了护理老年人的护理模式。

Present Status of studies on the Quality of Life (QOL) of, and Care for Senile Dementia Sufferers As regards nursing care for senile dementia sufferers at treatment facilities in Japan, a survey of 1 9 related documents issued during the past 5 years (1990-1994) revealed that an effective nursing method has been sought in this area, and that a universal and systematic nursing method is now under development.2. Development of Nursing Care Skills for Improving QOL for the Senile-A Study via QuestionnaireIn light of the above, a study was conducted to clarify, via questionnaire, the concept of nursing care skills with regard to improving QOL for the senile, based on the opinions of nurses engaged in care of the aged.This study involved the preparation of a questionnaire comprising 8 4 questions on the effect of such nursing care. The questionnaire is based on the above-mentioned 1 9 documents issued during the past 5 years. 5 0 9 valid responses were subjected to fator analysis, which revealed the following aspects of nursing care skills : "care suited to individual patients, " "provision of necessary treatment and care, " "avoidance of patient isolation, " "maintenance of quasi-familial relationship, " "respect for patient individuality, " "avoidance of patient confusion, " "care based on attachment, " "physical management, " and "enhancement of patient sense of security." Future tasks include the further development of nursing care skills for the senile, comprising these factors : the designing of tools for measuring results achieved through such skills (in improving QOL for the senile) ; and the establishment of a nursing care model for tending the senile, based on such skills and tools.
