今年度は、1)認知と感情、動機づけの関係に関する研究の展望、2)負の感情表出が対人関係に与える影響を、教育場面で検討する調査、3)「怒りや罪悪感」等、責任の帰属に関連する感情表出が、失敗場面での対人行動に与える影響を検討するための予備実験、を行った。調査では、教師の生徒に対す感情表出が、生徒-教師間の関係や生徒の達成動機に与える影響を検討した。被験者に「試験に失敗し、それに対して、教師が、怒り、同情、罪悪感のいずれかを表出している場面」を想起させて、教師に対する態度や、達成動機について回答させた。その結果、生徒-教師間の関係が元々良好でない場合には、教師の感情表出が、生徒の教師に対する態度や達成動機に悪影響を与えることが明らかとなった。とりわけ、怒りの表出は、生徒を教師から遠ざけ、教師の担当する科目に対する嫌悪感や、やる気のなさにつながることが明らかとなった。過去の原因帰属理論の研究では、教師が生徒の失敗に対して怒りを表出することにより、「生徒の努力不足」に失敗を帰属していることを伝達し、達成動機を高める効果があることがいわれていた。本研究の結果は、「怒りの表出」の望ましい効果が見られる条件として、生徒-教師間の関係が良好であることが必要であることを示した。本研究の結果は、第59回日本心理学会(沖縄コンベンションセンター)で発表された。また、予備実験では、実際の対人場面での他者の感情表出に対する反応を検討するために、相互作用を導入した実験を計画し、現在手続きを改善中である。以上の研究活動に基づき、認知と感情の関係の研究展望をJapanese Psychological Researchに発表した。また、教師の感情表出と達成動機づけに関する研究展望をおこない、教師との対人関係を含む達成動機づけのモデル構築の必要性とそこでの感情の役割についての議論を心理学評論に発表した。
