本研究は、実施計画で述べた三つの研究方法(個別写経事業の分析、経録・蔵経目録の分析、寺院・僧尼の動向の分析)の前提となる正倉院文書の整理など基礎作業に力点をおいて行なった。正倉院文書は江戸と明治の両時期の整理によって、永く伝えていた奈良時代の状態を混乱させてしまった。そのため奈良時代の状態に復元することが必要である。その際、正倉院古文書のマイクロフィルムと『大日本古文書』(編年文書)の活字とを比較していくことが肝要である。そこで検索に便ならしめるため、データベースによる正倉院古文書(文書名+帙巻数+表裏別)と『大日本古文書』(巻+頁)の対照一覧表の作成を企画し、その試作版が八割がたできあがった。今後、完成に向けて作業を継続していきたい。また当該期の古代仏教を教学的に分析するには、どのような仏典が重視されているのかを見極める必要がある。その一つの方法としては、当時経典を選択する際に重要な基準とされたであろう『大唐内典録』『開元釈教録』『大周刊定衆経目録』の入蔵録に含まれる経典か否かが問題となる。その検索に便ならしめるために、データベースによる『開元釈教録』入蔵録を基準とした三目録対照入蔵録一覧表の作成を企画し、その試作版が六割がたできあがった。同じく完成に向けて作業を継続していきたい。一方、正倉院文書を整理するなかで、個別写経事業の一つとして光明子七七日を契機として書写された『称讃浄土経』に注目し分析を行なった。本事業は光明子七七日を契機とする点、政治史的意義を担うものであるが、さらに奈良時代では十分に明らかにされていない浄土信仰の具体相を分析する上で意義あるものといえよう。なお蔵経リストや蔵経者リストの作成や分析は果たしえなかったので、本年度の成果を参照しながら考えていくことにしたい。
