项目摘要

本研究は、経営環境のグローバル化にともなう組立企業の部品調達の国際化を、資材調達を担当する部門(いわゆる購買組織)を中心に検討し、その変化のダイナミズムを考察することを主たる目的とするものであった。一年間にわたる研究の結果、次のような知見を新たに得ることができた。まず第一に、部品の取引関係を中心とした企業グループのグローバル規模での再編成の動きが加速しているという点が確認された。取引関係(組織間関係)の国際化の進展は、新たな取引相手との関係の構築による多様化をともなうように思われる。第二に、組立企業と部品企業との国際的な取引関係の構築にあたって組立企業の購買部門が重要な役割を果たしていた。すなわち、購買部門が部品の汎用性の度合いによって部品企業との取引関係のあり方を戦略的に選択していることが確認された。第三に、それとの関連で、近年いわゆる国際購買組織(IPO)の設立が組立企業によって相次いでいるという点が確認された。これは、製造拠点の国際的な分散と分業にともなって、企業戦略上重要な拠点に部品調達を統括する部門を設置する必要性を多くの組立企業が認識しはじめつつあることの反映であることが明確になった。こうした一連の動きは、グローバル規模で激しさを増す企業間競争の中で組立企業が自らの競争優位性を形成・維持・拡大することに寄与する部品企業との間で柔軟な取引関係を国際的に構築し、生き残りをはかることを目指したものであるように思われた。以上が本研究における成果の概要である。なお、本研究では時間的制約のためアンケート調査による詳細な分析を行うことはできなかった。今後の課題とし、その中で本研究で得られた諸成果を活用していきたい。
