1. The FreeBSD version 2.2.1 Release was installed to Dell Power Edge 4200 series workstation. The computer functioned as an HTTP, FTP, POP3 and SMTP server for the last 3 years without any troubles.2. A UNIX-based analysis of data-processing for English linguistics was studied for the last 3 years, and some of the results obtained were presented at several meetings of English linguistics and English Education. The result was also presented in the final report of this project.3. Some 230,000 entry words listed in Webster's 2ィイD1ndィエD1 New International Dictionary are presented in this computer(ftp://snow. shinshu-u.ac.jp), which can be downloaded from any computers. The word list is of great use for the analysis of morphology and phonology of English.4. The WWW server gives the basic knowledge of UNIX operations and UNIX commands to the researchers of English linguistics(http://snow. shinshu-u.ac.jp/). The server also gives the researchers how to user the statistics software SPSS which is useful for the analysis of English linguistics.
