The objectives of this research is as follows ; It develops high precision time domain simulator for the behavior of a very large floating structure under the natural environmental conditions, and it establishes the evaluation systems for lifecycle safety and operability under construction of a very large floating structure.The natural environmental conditions consist of multi-directional irregular waves, fluctuating wind, fluctuating current and sea shock. The behaviors include elastic deformation, pressure distribution, internal loads, and mooring line load, besides wave field around a floating body, drifting force on a floating body, and low frequency oscillation.We developed the high precision time domain simulator which predicts elastic behavior of a very large floating structure under the natural environmental conditions including multi-directional waves. We clarified the effect of the rigidity on the behavior of a very large floating structure. We also developed the time domain simulator which estimates the behavior due to the sea shock.
