LONGITUDINAL STUDY ON TEACHER READINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

本项目的主要目的是阐明师范大学的大学生如何学习师范知识，如何发现自己对教师的特长，明确影响他们最初几年专业发展的重要因素。主要结果如下：1.师范生到学校任教前最焦虑的事情是围绕教学方法和实践。通过考察师范生日记中的情感内容，我们发现在为期五周的教学实践中，师范生的情感发生了明显的变化。通过比较小学教师和初中教师的心理压力，发现初中教师比小学教师感受到的压力要小。

The main purpose of this project is to clarify how the college students in the teacher training university will learn the pedagogical knowledge and find their own aptitude for teachers, and make clear the important factors which will influence the development of their professional development during the first several years.The main results are as follows ;1. The most anxious thing for student-teachers before going to the schools to teach are centering on teaching methods and practices.2. By examining the emotional contents of the diaries of the student-teachers, we found that there distinct emotional changes during their five-week teaching practices.3. By comparing the psychological stress between elementary school teachers and junior high school teachers, we found that the latter teachers feel less stress than the earlier one.
