Changes in personality comparing before and after informed concent of breast cancer patients.

本研究旨在研究癌症知情程度对乳腺癌患者的影响。研究对象为24名女性乳腺癌患者。她们是京都警察医院乳腺科的门诊病人。每个受试者在初诊、入院时间、术前、术后、出院时间等不同阶段进行多次测试和访谈。心理测试如下。1.情绪量表，2分。应对方式；4.社会支持；5.个性特征。6.对癌症的心理调整。罗夏测试。在采访的时候，他们被问到。1.他们对癌症的了解程度。2.他们对家庭的反应。3.医患关系中的信任程度。主要研究结果如下：1。在入院和出院期间，情绪有了显著改善。社会支持——特别是对那些有配偶和/或父母的人——显著地带来了上述情绪的改善。对于那些性格乐观的人来说，他们的情绪表现得相当积极。在应对方式上，那些积极、向前看、永不言败的人在手术前就有了更乐观的情绪。研究人员对两类患者进行了罗夏墨迹测试：一组被告知乳腺癌诊断结果的患者和一组未被告知的患者。我们测量了他们对罗夏墨卡上从亮到暗的阴影的印象。前一组患者倾向于将墨迹解释为内脏疾病，而后一组患者倾向于在卡片内部看到阴影区域。

The present research aims at studying what influence informed concent of cancer has on breast cancer patients.The subjects were 24 female breast cancer patients. They were out-patients of the mamelary unit of Kyoto Police Hospital. Each subject was severally tested and intervewed at various stages : first examination, time of admission to hospitalization, before operation, after operation, time of leavihg hospital. The psychologiial tests are as follows. 1.mood scale, 2.coping style, 3.social support, 4.personality trait, 5.mental adjustment to cancer, 6. Rorschach test.At the time of the interview they were asked. 1.Degree of understanding at the time they were informed of cancer. 2.How they reacted in terms of their family. 3.Degree of trust in doctor-patient relationship.The main results were :1.Mood improved remarkably between the time of admission to and release from the hospital.2.Social supports-specially for those with spause and/or parents-brought the above improvement in mood conspicuously.3.For those optimistic in personality their mood registered quite positive.4.Coping style, those with a positive, forward-looking, never-say-die attitude had a more upbeat mood even before the operation.5.Rorschach test was administered to two kinds of patients : those who had been informed of diagnosis of breast cancer and those who had not. We measured their impressions of shadings from light to dark on the Rorschach cards. The former group of patients tended to interpret the ink blottings as morbidity of internal organs, while the latter group tended to see shaded areas in the inner portion of the card.
