项目摘要

本研究は、近年の子どもを養育する家族の様相・機能の変容を背景として生み出されてきた乳幼児の教育・世話・保護のシステムについての比較文化的検討を行うことを企図して取り組んできたものである。平成8年度に続き本年度もフランス研究を中心に据え、次のように研究成果を公表した。まず日仏教育学会研究大会において「フランスにおける保育所の発展」と題して個人研究発表を行った。保育所の戦後の変化、すなわち医療機関から教育機関への変容の過程を社会的背景との関連で明らかにした。これは、最近、伝統的な保育方法である乳母のシステムよりも集団的保育方法を選択する傾向があることの考察を深めてほぼ論文化した。一方、論文として「フランスにおける少子化と教育」(『教育と医学』)を著し、少子化現象と家族の変容について記述するとともに、少子化と家族の変容を肯定的に捉える中で21世紀の学校の新しい役割(社会連帯のための学校)が判明することを論じた。この視点から1995年の初等学校学習指導要領の示す方向性について明らかにした。さらにフランス教育学会研究大会ではシンポジウム「フランスにおける学力問題」の中で「保育学校における子どもの学力問題の文化的検討」について発言した。現代教育の発展の過程をみると、フランスでは常に就学前段階の関心に学力問題があったが、日本では学力問題を就学前段階に持ち込むことが嫌われたことを指摘した。また1995年の学習指導要領に示された学力観の本質について言及した。これの論文化の作業は次年度に行う予定である。こうしてフランス研究を軸に乳幼児教育システムの文化比較を進めているが、乳幼児の集団教育化の趨勢は世界共通のものでその流れはいよいよ加速されている(画一化)。その集団教育化の内実としての文化比較を深めること、第3世界の動向も視野に入れることが必要であると感じた。次年度以降の課題として取り組む。
