私は、先に、ヒトT細胞樹立株であるHPBMa10.2細胞やB細胞樹立株であるDaudi細胞が、C型肝炎ウイルス(HCV)に感受性を持つことを見い出し、現在、1年間以上の長期に渡って、HCVを培養細胞中で継代培養することに成功している。本研究では、この培養細胞由来のHCVの性状を調べ、次の事が明らかになった。1.感染細胞を電子顕微鏡で観察したところ、細胞質内空胞中に、直径約50nmのウイルス様粒子が検出された。これらの粒子がHCV抗原性を持つことは、ペルオキシダーゼ抗体免疫電顕で確かめた。2.庶糖密度勾配平衡遠心法で測定した培養細胞由来HCVの浮遊密度は1.12g/mlであった。3.HCV接種後56日目にDaudi細胞より採取した培養上清中のHCVは、チンパンジーへの感染性を保有していた。4.接種材料中には、少なくとも12種類のHCV変異体が検出されたが、培養細胞内での長期継代後は2〜3種類に限定される様になった。リンパ球に親和性を持つHCVの存在が考えられる。

In addition, HPBMa10.2 cells and B cells were successfully cultured in Daudi cells and HCV cells for a long period of time. In this study, the origin of HCV in cultured cells was regulated and the secondary events were clarified. 1. Infected cells were observed by electron microscopy, and particles with a diameter of about 50nm were detected in the cytoplasm. The antigenicity of HCV particles is very high. The antigenicity of HCV particles is very high. 2. The concentration of HCV in cultured cells was 1.12 g/ml. 3. HCV infectivity was maintained in culture supernatant of Daudi cells 56 days after HCV inoculation. 4. In the inoculated materials, there are 12 kinds of HCV mutants and 2 ~ 3 kinds of HCV mutants after long-term culture. The existence of HCV is examined by the affinity of HCV.
