Research on SNA Input-Output Tables in Russia

(a) The investigator developed further several methods to avoid imbalances, which appeared in preliminary I-O tables with 100 sectors for 1995. He attempted to compile well-balanced benchmark SNA I-O tables of Russia for 1995. The Russian statistical authorities compiled own I-O tables based on the investigator's methodology.(b) The investigator made strict analyses of unbalanced and well-balanced tables. Regarding the well-balanced tables, he compiled 22-sector I-O tables at producers' prices. Furthermore, employing these tables, he provided detailed results of I-O analyses in Japanese and English articles.(c) The Russian authorities made the final version of 100-sector I-O tables secret; and the investigator estimated own I-O tables. As 22-sector official tables are available for the investigator, he plans to make public a database of distribution margin matrixes, import matrixes, the matrixes of net taxes on products and, imports. He will also publish 120-sector SNA I-O tables based on own estimates.(d) The investigator estimated 22-sector I-O tables at purchasers' prices for 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 by using 1995 tables and the RAS method the final version of which will be published as a database,
