INTERNATIONAL COMPARISN OF PROGRAMMES FOR RESTORATION OF WOODEN ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE

In this research, I was be able to draw out the following results through arranging the materials regarding the examples already done as restoration projects of the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal and Alberta, Canada at the same time extracting samples also alredy completed projects at Bergen and stave churches of Norway. As for our country I examined recent activities to reuse restorated architectural heritage accompanied with a reconstruction of the planning of Hikone-jo Simoyashiki and with legend of Ohmi-merchant concept for setting shops to Edo, Osaka, Kyoto.Differences were obvious on the aspects in comparison between the case in our country and others in the technique of restorating wooden buildings, concepts for restoration, positioning after restoration, and especially on rehabilitation and the active reuse. I have to pay my attention to the following aspects of rehabilitations or restoration programmes ; wide registrations and practical rehabilitation on several stages in Alberta, Canada and exact preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation activities by the no-government association or arranging later functions by architects competitions in Norway
