The aim of this study is to basic research to construct the forecast system of the quality of nursing and the care needs in the region.The potential years of life lost causing by the death of less than 80 years old were about 70 person-years per 1000 population from 1995 to 1998. The potential years of life lost causing by the bedridden of less than 80 years old were about 50 person-years per 1000 population from 1995 to 1998.According to the investigation result, four nursing volunteers can be secured for one dementia.Also, it was suggested that the grasp of the intention of habitants be also important.

本研究以基础研究为基础，构建了该地区护理质量和护理需求的预测体系。1995~1998年，80岁以下人群死亡造成的潜在减寿年数约为每千人口70人年。1995~1998年，因卧床不起的80岁以下老人造成的潜在减寿年数约为每1000人50人年。根据调查结果，1个痴呆症患者可获得4名护理志愿者。同时，对居住者意愿的把握也很重要。
