The Study on Evaluation Method of the Dental Anxiety of the Infants by Using Miniature Dental Diorama

The psychic trauma of fear and anxiety from dental treatment in children have been recognized as sources of serious behavior problem. Moreover, the effects of children's dental fears may well persist into adolescence or adult, which in turn disruptive behavior during dental treatment. We must be careful to the dental treatment for the psychic states of the infant. However, we can not search for the depths of the dental anxiety at the infant. I report on a new and simpler method of estimates for dental anxiety of the infant. In this study is consists of the ten dolls and a miniature dental office. All the dolls and a miniature dental office for the study used in this examination were handmade. I gave the dolls to the infant, and let the infant put it on a miniature dental office by free conception. The following was clarified by this study :1. We can know the relationship to parents and children.2. We can estimating that the dental anxiety from the impression of dolls arrangement.
