The purpose of the course is to provide state-of-the-art information on physical modeling, and numerical simulation of multifluid flows. The presence of interfaces substantially increases the complexity of multifluid turbulent flows and poses a great challenge to numerical simulation. Indeed, simulations of interface behaviour require numerical methods that would ideally describe the interface motion precisely, handle jump conditions at the interface without artificial smoothing, and respect mass conservation, The methods which will be emphasised along this lecture series will concern; Large Eddy Simulation, Direct Numerical Simulation, Volume of Fluid, Level Set, and Ghost Fluid.
