今年度の研究成果は、論文として執筆したものは別記の通りである。これら以外のものとして、1919(大正8)年に官立の高等学校として設立された山口高等学校について、『防長新聞』と入学試験結果からその存在意義を検討した論文を『地方教育史研究』(全国地方教育史学会)第24号に投稿し、現在審査中である。また、1918(大正7)年の改正高等学校令にともなって導入された四修に関して、大正後期の中学校長会議や高等学校長会議での議論や新聞雑誌上における議論と1925(大正14)年に文部省普通学務局が行った四修についての調査結果をもとに四修の存続理由を検討した論文を『大学史研究』(大学史研究会)第19号に投稿し、こちらも現在審査中である。本年度は史料収集に研究の重点を置いた。学校文書については、前年度に引き続き収集を進めた。直接訪問と取り寄せをあわせて、今年度は信州大学、名古屋大学、京都大学、九州大学、熊本大学より史料を収集した。また、静岡大学も訪問し、史料を閲覧した。学校文書以外では、鹿児島県立図書館にて第七高等学校造士館関係史料を収集した。これに並行して入学試験問題講評の収集も行い、1927(昭和2)年以降の入学試験問題の講評が掲載されている『文部時報』の該当部分を1936(昭和11)年度分まで収集した。また、平成12年度より進めてきた『高等学校高等科入学者選抜〔試験〕ニ関スル〔諸〕調〔査〕』に掲載されている統計資料のデータベース化については、今年度でそのすべてが完了した。
