本年度も、多孔質中の熱水分移動に関するシミュレーション手法に関する研究を中心に行った。シミュレーションでは、倉などの土壁内の湿度分布、温度分布および、倉内の湿度変化が外気の変化による変動についての現地での測定と解析を行った。調査対象としては、埼玉県川越市の蔵および、滋賀県長浜の蔵である。埼玉県川越市の倉内で実測された一年間の相対湿度変化と、外気の温湿度変化と倉の構造をもとに計算した湿度変化は良く一致し、また、1ヶ月間(2002年6月)の倉内の湿度変化の実測値と解析値の比較において、外気の湿度が3日連続して低下した際の、倉内の湿度変化も良く再現することができた。これらの結果から、ここで開発したシミュレーション手法の有効性を確認することができた。本解析手法は、石造文化財やレンガ建造物の劣化過程を評価する上で、有効なツールであると考えられる。また、本解析を行うための土の水分特性曲線などの物性値を測定する実験も併せて行った。これらの研究成果は、ドイツドレスデン工科大学で開催された第11回建築物理に関する国際会議や文化財保存修復学会で発表した。
