项目摘要

本年度の研究成果としては、20世紀の文化総体を決定的に変えたプロレタリア文学を再検討するうえで欠かすことのできない一次資料、文献の発掘および収集とその整理につとめたことによって、これまでの先行研究ではあきらかにされてこなかったプロレタリア文学史における「都市下層社会」の歴史的位置付けや、日本でのドストエフスキー受容にはじまるロシア文学の影響が孕んでいた比較文化論的なプロブレマティックをくっきりと浮き彫りにすることができました。おもに葉山嘉樹、里村欣三、武田麟太郎、三上於菟吉らの表現を通して考察されたこれらの諸問題を手がかりとすることによって、1920〜30年代のプロレタリア文化運動の担い手が、なぜそののちの戦争や満洲移民政策までを含む「ファシズム」に屈服してしまうことになったのか、換言すれば、プロレタリア文化運動という大衆運動こそがファシズムを準備したものといえるのではないかという仮説を検証することができました。本特別研究員奨励費によって収集することのできた一次資料や文献は、現在入手困難な書籍や未刊行文書類が大半を占めています。そのために本研究課題を単なる仮説の領域にとどまらせるものではなく、具体的かつ実証的に先行研究や史実の欠落を補い、誤謬を正しつつ、その時代の諸問題に肉薄することができました。さらにこれらの資料や文献は、今後この課題を研究する研究者にとって必要不可欠なものとなるだけではなく、文化史の枠組みのみならず社会史、民衆史を考察するうえでも貴重なものとなっています。これらの点から、本研究が先行研究に徴しても有意義なものとして、計画どおり速やかに遂行されたことをここに報告するものです。
