Construction of lifestyle improvement programs for school children and their parents

The purpose of this project was to carry out trial manufacture and examination of daily life habit improvement program of school children and their parents with the school nurse. The program was made considering gradually doing by enjoying in parent and child.The object school of the research were two elementary schools in the Iwate prefecture. These elementary school cooperated in the investigation on daily life habit and health status of school children and their parents carried out in 1998. In present research, the cooperation was got in elementary school of 3 graders 1 class and 5 graders 3 classes."The daily life habit improvement program of school children and parents" was produced experimentally considering survey result in 1998 and cooperation system in the school, schedules such as the school class activity, learning content of homemaking course and science, etc. in the 2000. The result were as follows :In elementary school 5 graders who carried out the program on eating habit center, there was the improvement which is significant around the program in "unbalanced diet" "a vegetable intake" "it walks, when it goes out near". And, they have positively participated in the learning which adopted the imaginary experience and group work. In elementary school of 3 graders who did the program on the physical activity habit center, school children show the resistant interest for the learning using the pedometer. And they the most mainly described the physical activity in the life goal, and they persevered in respect of the physical activity. And, either school year "healthy file" used by passing for 1 year, is brought back in the home, and the healthy goal is made with the family, and the learning in the school has also been transmitted to the family also.
