This project is to construct the database in order to compile the Munda etymological dictionary in future. I have already made the database on Ho-English Dictionary during 1998-2000 as a research project of Grant-in-Aid for scientific research. This time I chose the monumental work on the Mundari language, i.e., Encyclopadia Mundarica to input my computer. This work has been done by the sole native speaker in Japan, Ms. Madhu Purti. She selected the entries from the Encyclopaedia Mundarica.Apart from this inputing work, I have another purpose of this work. According to the previous study, Mundari has no distinction between verb and noun. So I will check this statement from this database. So Ms. Purti input the information on word class from the Encyclopadia Mundarica. Then I have reached the conclusion that the distinction between verb and noun kept in the Encyclopaedia Mundarica.

本计画的目的是建立资料库，以备将来编纂蒙达语源字典之用。我已经在1998-2000年期间将《何英词典》数据库作为科研资助的研究项目。这一次我选择了关于蒙达里语言的不朽作品，即，世界百科全书输入我的电脑。这项工作是由日本唯一的母语人士Madhu Purti女士完成的。她是从《世界百科全书》中挑选词条的，除了这个输入工作，我还有另一个目的。根据前人的研究，蒙达里没有动词和名词的区分。所以我会从数据库里查这份声明。于是，Purti女士输入了《世界百科全书》中关于词类的信息。最后得出结论：《百科全书》中保留了动词和名词的区别。
