项目摘要

初年度に引き続き、各国の文化財保護に関わる機関についての情報収集を行った。情報収集は文献、インターネットおよび昨年度に質問項目を検討したアンケートの手法を用いる。アンケート調査については、機関に直接郵送して行うものと、研究代表者の所属する機関の研究者に対して、訪問先の機関に関して実施するものとの2本立てであった。また、出張や研修事業の機会をとらえて、来訪した外国人専門家に対してもアンケート調査を行うとともに、出張先(イギリス等)での専門家への聞き取り調査を行った。初年度に引き続き、地理情報解析ソフトウェアを用いて空間情報データベースを作成した。整理した情報は地理情報データ公開用ソフトウェア(Internet Map Server)を用いてインターネット上に公開し、全世界からデータベースの閲覧を可能にするものであった。データ公開用のサーバは所属機関に既存のものを用いた。また、文化財保護に対する空間情報データベースの利用に関して、関連分野の学会(日本文化財科学会およびその他の研究会で発表)で研究発表を実施するとともに、研究成果を学会誌「考古学と自然科学」に投稿した。これらは、日本および世界の文化財の地震危険度に関するもので、昨年度作成したデータベースによる研究成果である。さらに、研究結果をインターネットに接続できない環境でも参照可能にするため、本研究で得られる成果の全てを一般のパソコンに必ずインストールされているブラウザソフトのみで閲覧可能なCD-Rを作成するとともに、印刷物も別途作成した。
