保育の場で「表現」という領域が示されてから10年以上が経過した。この10年で子どもを取り巻く環境は大きく変化し、少子化時代を迎え保育者に求められるものも多様化している。このような状況下で子どもの豊かな表現活動を支援する保育者を育成するために養成機関では、何を教えるべきなのか、再度問い直しが必要になっている。そこで本研究では、幼児の豊かな表現活動を支援する保育者を育成するために、保育者養成における「表現」領域の教育内容について再検討を行うことを第一の目的としている。また、今後の保育者養成におけるダンス・身体表現の学習プログラムのあり方について提起を行うことを第二の目的としている。以上のような本研究の目的に即して、本年度は保育者養成機関における身体表現の授業実践の分析・考察により新しい学習プログラムについて検討を進めた。取り上げた授業は「自由」「即興」「他者との交流」を主体としたもので、学生の授業後の内省文を中心に保育者にふさわしい身体のあり方と関連させながら考察を深めた。以上については、「保育者にふさわしい身体を養成する身体表現の実践と可能性」という論文にまとめ、日本保育学会学会誌『保育学研究』に投稿審査中である。今後、本研究で明らかにされたことを基盤に、さらに保育の現場に接近しながら保育者の専門性と身体表現の関係性を探っていきたいと考えている。
