我々がこれまでに提案してきた連続時間パルス発火ニューロン素子の外部入力に対する動的応答特性,カオス応答特性の機能潜在性に関する研究を行ない,その成果を学術論文誌・国際会議で報告した.1.周期的入力に対する単一カオスニューロン素子の応答特性連続時間パルスニューロン素子の応答特性にも,カオス的な応答特性が見られることが分っている.そこで,カオス応答特性の機能潜在性を示すために,シヌソイダル入力に対する応答特性を調べた.・単一カオスニューロン素子に,シヌソイダル入力を与えると,入力強度が大きくなると,応答のスパイク間隔が短かくなる.更に,応答特性は,入力によって有意に異なる. 以上の結果より,単一カオスニューロン素子は,入力強度変化を応答のスパイク間隔でコード化する機能を有するといえる.・単一カオスニューロン素子がカオス応答を示すパラメータ領域で,コード化機能はノイズに対して頑健性を有する.2.カオスダイナミックスを用いた瞬時の記憶サーチネットワークモデルに発生するカオスダイナミックスの機能潜在性を示すために,ここでは簡単のため合原らによって提案されたカオスニューロン素子から成るネットワークモデルの動的応答特性を,瞬時の記憶サーチと関連して研究を行なった.・カオスの強さによって,アトラクタベイスンの遍歴の仕方が記憶パターンの重なりの大きさと関連して変化する.つまり,階層的な構造を持った記憶探索が可能である.・アトラクタベイスンを遍歴している状態に,記憶パターンの一部を与えると,瞬時にそのパターンのアトラクタベイスンへ到達することが可能である.つまり,カオスダイナミックスを用いた瞬時の記憶サーチが可能であることを意味している.
