项目摘要

『華厳経』はインドからアジア各地に伝わった。それと同時に同経に基づく華厳思想もインドからアジア各地に伝わり、その地特有の華厳思想を生み出していった。そうした経と思想との展開を跡づけるのがわたくしの研究である。今年度は主にインドから中国への思想の展開を研究した。インドの華厳思想を代表するのはヴァスバンドゥの『十地経論』(『華厳経』十地品の注釈)であるが、この書はインド人菩提留支(ボーディルチ)によって漢訳され、中国の華厳思想が生まれるきっかけとなった。この菩提留支は漢文による著作『金剛仙論』を残しており、その中には『十地経論』の思想に基づく箇所が少なくない。わたくしは前年度より引き続いて、竹村牧男氏とともに『金剛仙論』を訓読・注解し、今年度にはその後半部分を出版した。これによって全てに部分を出版し終えたことになる。中国の華厳思想はインドの華厳思想を継承する一方で、「易」の思想など、中国の土着思想からも影響を受けているが、『金剛仙論』にはそうした影響は見られない。しかし、『金剛仙論』は漢文の表現において「易」の表現をなどを利用する傾向にあり、いわば、インドの華厳思想と中国の華厳思想との中間に位置するものと見なし得よう。『十地経論』についても、わたくし個人の訓読・注解が、来年度から出版される予定である。
