项目摘要

1.研究資料収集の状況(1)第一次資料清末民初の文言小説、および同時期の関連する第一次資料の収集に努めた。主なものとしてこれまで本学未所蔵だった『小説林』、『中国近代孤本小説精品』、『増注官場現形記』、『飲冰室文集点校』、『李大〓全集』などがある。(2)研究資料(1)と平行して、文体論関係の最新の理論的成果を吸収するために、和書・中国書・洋書の関連書籍および研究誌を収集した。主なものとして、これまで本学未所蔵だった『中国近代文学辞典』、『中国近現代通俗社会言情小説史』、『清末民初小説目録』、『清末民初小説年表』、Tom Guldemann, Reported Discourseなどがある。2.研究の内容(1)第一次資料の読解と用例の抽出上述の資料収集をふまえて、本年度は文言小説、および白話小説を含む同時期の関連する資料を読み込み、用例の抽出や文体特徴の検出を行った。用例の抽出にあたっては、「語りの形式」や「自由間接話法」といった点に重点をおいた。また、成果の一部を発表した。(2)理論的研究(1)と同時に理論的研究を平行して行った。本年度は主として、オリエンタリズム、ポスト・コロニアリズム、構築主義といった近年の人文・社会科学全般で注目される思潮について、広く関連文献を読み、理解に努めた。なかでも、本研究に密接に関わるLydia Liu, Translingual Practice : Literature, National Culture, and Translated Modernity -China, 1900-1937 (Stanford UP, 1995)は、その理論的射程の広さにもかかわらず、日本の学界では十分に知られていないため、私を含む三人の共訳により、全訳刊行をめざして翻訳中である。(3)資料の公開民国初期の代表的文言小説である『玉梨魂』初版本を、画像化して公開する準備を行った。
