本年度は、前年までに行われた需給調整過程の研究成果をふまえ、製造業者の立場から見た製販統合の実行・維持過程の研究を進めた。具体的には、(1)製販統合・ロジスティクス・生産分野の文献サーベイを行うとともに、(2)引き続き製造業者・物流企業へのインタビューを行い、(3)さらに製造業者を対象に質問票調査を実施した。その結果得られた本年度の研究成果は、以下のとおりである。本年度の研究では、製造業者と小売業者との取引履行段階において、製造業者の組織内で部門間調整過程を必要とすることを指摘した。製販統合以前の製造業者の取引・物流活動を見ると、製造業者の営業担当者が取引を行うだけでなく、同時に物流活動も行っている場合が多かった。これを商物一致という。ところが現在、多くの製造業者では商物分離が進んでいる。商物分離とは、製造業者が営業担当者から物流活動を切り離して取引に専念させるが、物流活動を物流部門や物流専業者に委ねることで、取引履行段階の活動を機能分化させる現象である。製造業者における取引履行段階での商物分離の進展は、営業部門と物流部門の部門間調整の必要性を増大させる。こうした理論的・現実的調査の結果、取引履行段階における営業部門と物流部門の部門間調整過程の必要性と、その現実を研究することの重要性を指摘したのである。この二年間の研究の結果、製販統合の実行・維持過程に関する分析枠組みは、次のようにまとめることができる。すなわち、製販統合を製造業者の立場から分析する場合、(1)取引先企業間との企業間調整過程、(2)需給調整をめぐる製造企業部門間調整過程という二つの視点をもつ必要がある。これらの視点により、ロジスティクスを中心とした製販統合の理論的分析が可能になると考えられる。
