项目摘要

本研究では,緑化活動の原因になる集合住宅の空間特性を明らかにし,効果的なコミュニティ計画づくりの指針を得ることを目的とした。兵庫県の震災復興団地における,住民による主体的な緑化の発生状況を調べた結果,空間の共有度を高めるために,ふさわしい規模で住宅地全体の空間構成にまとまりをっけることや,そのまとまりの中にコミュニティ形成にとってふさわしい数の住棟を配置することが,住民による緑化の発生に効果的であることが推察された。さらに住戸周りでは住棟周りの様な個人的な空間と,出入り口や共用施設などの人目に付きやすい空間との間で,緑化内容に差が見られた。住棟周りの様な個人的な空間では,食用などの実用的な緑化が手間のかからない形でなされ,出入り口や共用施設などの人目に付きやすい空間では,観賞用の緑化が更新を伴う形でなされ,それぞれ空間の特性にあわせて楽しまれていた。一方で,植物の生育条件について,地被状況では「裸地」のみが緑化の発生に顕著な影響を与えているのみで,むしろ空間特性の方が緑化の発生に強い影響を与えていることが明らかとなった。特に,植物の生育に関する日当たりについても「悪い」ところで多くの緑化の発生が見られ,その環境を移動できる「鉢植え」の緑化形態で補っていると考えられる。これらは新しい集合住宅でのコミュニティ形成の大きなきっかけになりうる。コミュニティが古くからの居住および地域活動の蓄積から発生する既成市街地とは異なり,新規建設の集合住宅ではこのようなきっかけを礎にしたコミュニティ計画が強く望まれる。本研究の結果から,今後の集合住宅の建設においても,植物の生育条件や景観条件を用いつつ,住民による緑化が発現しやすいコミュニティ単位の設定や住棟規模の設定および住棟が求められる。
