The results of this research can be summarized as the following.1. I aimed to argue the meaning of christian toughts about ecology and environment on the historical research over the relations between modern science (from Newtonian physics to the theory of evolution) and christian natural theology (especially Newtonianism) after the 17th century. As for the development of natural science in England, it become clear that the biological studies (the studies of natural history) related to the theory of life of natural theology closely.2. I tried to make clear that the theory of life of natural theology is important for the ecological thought today. For this purpose, I analyzed the textbooks of Boyle Lectures (especially, the lectures of Bentley, Derham), John Ray (The Wisdom of God 1691) and William Paley (Natural Theology 1802) in detail from the viewpoint of ecology.3. I saveyed the trends of contemporary theological thoughts over the relationship between religion and science, and. the ecology. It became clear that the theories of language and model in modern thoughts are effective as the basis of the ecological theology.

本研究的结果可以概括为以下几点.本文旨在通过对世纪以后近代科学（从牛顿物理学到进化论）与基督教自然神学（尤其是牛顿自然神学）关系的历史研究，来探讨基督教生态环境思想的意义。从英国自然科学的发展来看，生物学研究（即自然史研究）与自然神学的生命论密切相关.本文试图说明自然神学的生命理论对今天的生态思想有着重要的意义。为此，笔者从生态学的角度，对波义耳讲座（特别是本特利、德拉姆的讲座）、约翰·雷（《上帝的智慧》1691）和威廉·佩利（《自然神学》1802）的教材进行了详细的分析。我回顾了当代神学思想关于宗教与科学关系的趋势，并。生态美的现代思想中的语言理论和模式理论作为生态神学的基础是有效的。
