The results of the research are as follows :1.The impact of new cosmology created by the developments of modern astronomy, a serious threat to Christian moral world, eventually became the catalyst between Christianity and modern view of nature.2.As Thomas Reid's view of nature, moral philosophy and methodology indicate, the outsideness that logically corresponds to outer space consists a foundation for British empiricism.3.As the theory of great universe of Yamagata Bantou shows, the same phenomenon can be observed in East Asia.4.Cosmological humanism was one of the common notions in the 18^<th> century Enlightenment. It is important to investigate the role of it in Newtonianism as the catalyst of modern thought.

研究结果如下：1.现代天文学发展所产生的新宇宙观对基督教道德世界的严重威胁，最终成为基督教与现代自然观之间的催化剂。2.托马斯·里德的自然观、道德哲学和方法论表明，逻辑上与外层空间相对应的外在性构成了英国经验主义的基础。3.正如山形班图的大宇宙理论所表明的那样，东亚也出现了同样的现象。4.宇宙人文主义是18世纪启蒙运动中常见的观念之一。考察它在牛顿学派中作为现代思想催化剂的作用是很重要的。
