Psychological research of post-attentive vision

通过眼睛和视网膜的视觉输入在早期视觉中的处理不高，但一部分被视觉注意选择并发送到后注意视觉。近年来，关于视觉注意的功能和机制的理论和模型研究较多，但关于注意后视觉的研究较少。本研究的目的是了解后注意视觉。后注意视觉的关键词是客体（即加工单位）和表征（即视觉记忆）。在此基础上，对近年来的许多研究进行了汇总，并作为学术论文进行了评述（日本心理学评论中的两篇论文，题目分别为“视盲现象中的表征与注意”和“视觉注意与客观性”）。对注意视觉和注意后视觉进行了大量的实验研究。例如，关于变化盲视、注意瞬脱、重复盲视和负启动的研究已经在学术期刊上发表或提交论文。为了理解作为后注意视觉的目标的场景感知，进行了关于认知地图的实验研究，并发表在工程学学术期刊（The IEICE transactions on fundamental of electronics，communications and computer sciences）上。这意味着它做出了跨学科的贡献。

Visual input through eyes and retinas are processed not highly in early vision, but a part are selected by visual attention and sent to post-attentive vision. Recently there are many researches of theories and models about the function and mechanism of visual attention, but a few about post-attentive vision. The purpose of this project is the understanding of post-attentive vision. Keywords of post-attentive vision are object (i.e. processing unit) and representation (i.e. visual memory). Based on them, many recent researches are tabulated and reviewed as academic papers (Two papers in Japanese Psychological Review titled "Representation and attention in blindness phenomena" and " Visual attention and objecthood"). Many experiment about attentive and post-attentive vision were performed. For example, researches on change blindness, attentional blink, repetition blindness, and negative priming have been published or submitted as papers in academic journals. For understanding scene perception as a goal of post-attentive vision, experimental researches on cognitive map were performed and published in academic journal of engineering (The IEICE transactions on fundamentals of electronics, communications and computer sciences). This means that it makes interdisciplinary contribution.
