The quantitative analysis on the land documents in Modern China and the preparation of the database

This research project have three following aims. The first is to visit research institutes and universities in Japan, China and Taiwan, investigate land documents. The second is to make the catalogs, bibliographical notes and database about those documents. The third is to do a quantitative analysis about some of the materials. I visited the following research institutes and universities in this term of this project. In Japan, Tsukuba university, Toyo Bunko, the National Diet Library, Tokyo university, Kyoto university, Tenri university and Oita University. In China, Suzhou university, Suzhou City museum and Wujiang City archive, in Taiwan, Institute of Modem History Academia Sinica. Many materials have been found, which have not investigated previously. I also made the detailed catalog and bibliographical note on the un-arranged documents of Tsukuba University. The next new knowledge was acquired again in this investigation process. The same kind of documents are scattered around some research institutes and the universities in Japan, therefore, I strongly feel that we have to make the catalog and database which are collected all around the institutes and universities. The next three reports were made as a result of this research project. (1)A Study on the documents Collected by the 6the Research Committee of Toua Institute in Tsukuba University. (2)A Study on the several documents for Tianyehui in Suzhou. (3)A Study on the Statistical Data of Wujiang in 1940's.
