本年度は、昨年度行った14組の両親の面接内容を夫婦別々に郵送して本人に確認してもらい、逐語録を作成し質的に分析した。その結果、母親達は、死産という"最悪事態の発生"にショックを受けたが、自分が所有している将来の妊娠の可能性などに気づくことにより悲しみから踏み出すことが多かった。次の妊娠では、"再発への怖れ"を抱き、得られなかった子どもの存在や母親役割を取り戻そうとする"代替への試み"の中で、"死産児(の死)を認め"、独自の人格を有する子どもとして"次回児を受入れる"という"次回児へのマザリング"に取組み、出産後には次回児との新たな母子関係を築いていた。しかし、次回児に死産児の生まれ変わりを願った母親は、出産後1年以上も死産児との区別ができなかった。一方、父親達は、死産にショックを受けたが、葬儀等の社会的な役割を果たすことに専念して悲しみを表現することが少なかった。死産後には、葬儀に立ち会うことにより"死産児(の死)を認め"て悲しみから踏み出すことが多く、死産児の生まれ変わりを願うことはなかった。次の妊娠では、"再発への怖れ"を抱いて母子を守るために"妻への気遣い"を行い、死産児とは異なる独自の人格を有する子どもとして"次回児を受入れ"て"次回児へのファザリング"に取組み、出産後には次回児との新たな父子関係を築いていた。死産後から次の妊娠・出産時の看護について両親が肯定的に受止めたのは、死産後に1人の子どもとして死産児に接してくれたことと、死産後からの継続的な関わりを受けたことであった。求めたい看護は、母親は次回児の妊娠から産後に不要な質問を受けないための医療者側の情報伝達の連携で、父親は死産後のプライバシー確保や精神的ケアであり、産後の悲嘆から鬱状態と出社拒否となり自ら心療内科の受診や社内配属異動をした父親は自分への看護も望んでいた。
