本年度は2回(計10日)の韓国での資料調査と、8回(計16日)の国内資料調査を行った。韓国での資料調査では日本に搬入例の多い全羅道に重点を置いた。この結果、甑や鍋などでも全羅道と慶尚道の違いを把握することができ、今後日本の出土例にも適用できる見通しができた。また、京畿道の遺跡で出土している楽浪系土器についても実見する機会を得た。ロクロを用いている点は楽浪土城のものと共通するが、格子タタキが採用されているなど、異なる点も多い。今後、日本で出土している楽浪系土器についても楽浪郡以外の土器か否かは注意しなければならない。国内調査では壱岐・福岡市・香川県・愛媛県・島根県・神戸市の資料を調査した。特に、これまでも注意していた模倣・折衷土器の情報収集に力を入れ、在来土器に朝鮮半島的要素である格子タタキや耳が加わった土器などを重点的に調査した。その結果、島根県出雲市の中野清水遺跡で全羅・忠清道タイプの両耳付短頸壺を模倣した土器が明らかになり、この種の壺の模倣・折衷例が北部九州に限らないことが明らかになった。なお、日本出土の両耳付短頸壺については6世紀までのものも含めて朝鮮半島からの搬入例や日本での模倣・折衷例について集成し、検討を加えた。さらに、国内での資料調査や報告書による情報収集によって、古墳出現前後の朝鮮半島系土器についてのデータベースを作成した。この作業を通じて、全体的には全羅・忠清道系の土器が多いものの、対馬・壱岐には慶尚道の土器も比較的多いことがはっきりした。また、全羅・忠清道系の土器は日本で楽浪土器が減少し始める古墳時代初頭以降に増加することも明らかになった。今後これらのデータについて研究発表を通じて公表し、学界に寄与したいと考える。なお、本課題研究の成果の一部は、大阪府立弥生文化博物館の平成16年秋季特別展『大和王権と渡来人 三・四世紀の倭人社会』に展示協力することによって、還元することができた。
