今年度は、(1)平成12・13年度の二年間で集めた『日本後紀』『続日本後紀』『日本文徳天皇実録』『日本三代実録』の宣命(「四国史」宣命)の校合作業を行うこと(2)「四国史」宣命の読みを確定すること(3)昨年度入力した宣命XMLの形式を整え索引を作ることの三点を中心に研究を行った。まず(1)については、紙の上での校合作業を終えた。「四国史」に関しては、古いテキストが現存しておらず、写本による差異はあまりないと考えられてきたが、それぞれいくつかの系統に分かれることが明らかになった。今後は、宣命XMLへ注の形で入力し、校本として完成させる必要がある。(2)については、『類聚名義抄』などの字書の他、他の注釈書や研究書を参考にして、読みの確定作業を行った。今後は、確定した読みが正しいか否かについて、他の平安時代初期の訓点資料と比較するなどして、その精度を更に上げる必要がある。また(3)については、国立国語研究所の「太陽コーパス」を参考に、タグ付けを考え、宣命のKWIC索引を作成した。宣命XMLは、その読みを属性の形で入力したため、読み仮名の入ったテキスト、読み仮名の入らないテキストの両方を出力することができ、また、読み仮名による語彙検索、漢字・万葉仮名による文字検索が可能となった。今後は、「四国史」宣命と同じ宣命体資料である祝詞のXMLを作成することも、平安時代ごく初期の日本語を知るための基礎資料を整える、という意味で重要であると考えている。
