本年度は前年度に引き続き、(1)個人レベル(ミクロレベル)と(2)組織レベル(マクロレベル)という2つの視点から大企業の研究開発に関する研究を遂行した。(1)個人レベルでは、大企業における研究開発者間の技術知識の移転に関する研究を行い、前年度および本年度をかけて識別したゲートキーパーおよびトランスフォーマーの集計データから知識移転ネットワークのマップを作成した。データベースはほぼ完成を見ているが、最終的にミスが無いかチェックを行っている。また、実証分析を行うにあたり、分析フレームワークを確定するとともに簡易的に分析を始めており、データのチェックがすみ次第、本格的な分析を行い、論文執筆を行う予定である。また、(2)組織レベルにおいては、技術の多角化や研究開発費支出額、研究開発の分野や動向に影響を与えるとされるトップ・マネジメントに焦点を当てた研究を前年度に引き続き行った。トップ・マネジメント・チームの特性と研究開発費支出に与える影響についての実証分析を行い、職能背景などのデモグラフィック特性と研究開発費支出の関係性について有意な結果を得た。この研究により、これまでのトップ・マネジメント・チームに関する研究では捨象されてきた社長が、研究開発費支出である戦略的意思決定に影響力を持つ存在であるということが確認された。これについては現在国内の主要な学会誌に投稿中である。また、それと関連して、ベンチャー企業におけるトップ・マネジメント・チームの構成と各種パフォーマンスとの関係性について考察を行った。さらには国際化戦略との兼ね合いについても研究を行った。これらについてはすでに論文として公表している。
