本研究課題を推進するために、先ず、日本国内及び海外の諸図書館、諸寺院において本研究と関連ある資料の調査を行った。具体的には、東大寺付属図書館、高野山大学付属図書館、金沢文庫、京都大学図書館、大谷大学付属図書館、立正大学付属図書館、中国国家図書館、中国北京大学付属図書館などで資料の調査を行った。個別の貴重資料について、以上の諸図書館の許可と協力を得て、資料の複製とコピーを受領した。また、名古屋市大須観音宝生院と大阪府河内長野市金剛寺で写本調査を行った。その中に、宝生院の大須文庫が所蔵する浄源の『肇論』関連注疏、立正大学が所蔵する本嵩の『通玄記』は貴重資料として筆頭に挙げられる。これらの資料に対する翻刻、注釈及び本格的研究は現在も進行している。次に、研究成果の一部を関連学会で発表した。具体的には、「東アジア仏教研究会」において、「宋代華厳の代表人物義和の伝記と思想背景について」と題した口頭発表を行った。北京大学佛教道教研究室で、「宋代における『大乗起信論』研究」と題した口頭発表を行った。「日本印度学仏教学会」年次大会において、「義和の念仏思想について」と題した口頭発表を行った。カナダで行われた中国仏教聖地に関する国際学会において、「中国仏教の聖地-宋代呉越地域の華厳寺院」と題した口頭発表を行った。北京大学の哲学論壇で「日本華厳宗の二大流派」と題した口頭発表を行った。そして、以上の口頭発表を整理して、「東アジア仏教研究会」の機関誌『東アジア仏教研究』創刊号で「義和の華厳浄土教について」と題した論文を発表した。「日本印度学仏教学会」の機関誌『印度学仏教学研究』第五十二巻で「義和『無尽灯序』における澄観、宗密の影響」という論文を発表した。同誌第五十三巻で「『華厳普賢行願修証儀』甲本の著者について」を発表した。なお、これらの論文のほかに、「呉越地域の華厳寺院-宋代華厳復興の一考察」などの論文は近刊する予定である。
