项目摘要

東アジア漢字文化圏に関する研究は、今まで中国と日本の二者間の研究に傾きすぎたように思われるので、韓国・ベトナムの文学をも視野に入れ、アジア漢字文化圏における物語・説話の比較研究を通して、日本古代文学を、中国を中心とする漢字文化圏の一翼に位置づけ、その上でその独自な位相を解明しようとするのが、本研究の目的である。これにもとづいて、平成16年3月のベトナム調査で獲得したベトナムの神話伝説・伝奇小説・筆記小説と、同じ受け入れ教官の元に来ている韓国高麗大学の林慶花氏の紹介による韓国の神話・伝奇小説とを解読し、比較研究を行った。資料が膨大で、まだ完全に解読したわけではないが、ベトナムにおいても、韓国においても、自国の文字の確立が遅かったため、漢文作品のほとんどが日本の『浦島子伝』のように中国的美辞麗句を鏤めた文体になっているほか、『浦島子伝』にすでにある程度日本独自の価値観が芽生えているのに対し、とくにベトナムの漢文には、その価値観さえ中国的であることが注目される。例えば、同じ『長恨歌伝』(『長恨歌』を含む)の影響を受けた『枚州妖女伝』という伝奇小説に、「肥若楊妃」「臨〓去日誰相親」などと否定的な人物造型が見られ、主人公を「妖女」に仕立てているのも、楊貴妃を「尤物」「女禍」などと見なす原典の価値観と一致している。『源氏物語』「桐壼」巻に見られるような、『長恨歌伝』からの「離陸」が見受けられないのである。一方、韓国では明清の白話文学の影響がつよく、それらと読本の比較研究が今後の課題ではあるが、唐代伝奇小説の影響を見出すことができなかったのである。それから、『今昔物語集』の中国語訳注を進めており、現在巻二六を完成したところである

A comparative study of Chinese language and speech in ancient Japanese literature and the Chinese culture in the central part of the Chinese cultural circle.
