项目摘要

本年度の研究は前年度の成果を踏まえ、それを更に深め、纏めることが中心となった。すなわち、ヘイゲン博士の所謂(荀子の)儒教的構造主義の考え方は、要するに(人間本性の自然に由来するものであるとされがちな)人間社会の基本的な規範や道徳的規律等が、実際のところ、荀子がその思想において展開した通り、人間社会の調和とそこにおける様々な階層それぞれの充実を目指して、知的レベルで論理的に構成された杜会的方策である、とする解析であるが、この内容を更に深く検討し、手を加えたものがPatterns, Language, and Norms in Early Confucian Thought : A Reconstruction of the Philosophy of Xunziであり、その概要を日本語で纏めたものが「荀子における「理」・「類」そして「名」について」である。続いて、上記のような考え方が江戸時代の儒者荻生徂徠の思想にも見られ、それらの学説の研究・分析を通じて現代における文化的相対主義や道徳実在論といった考え方を批判的に昇華し、現代に生きる新たな世界観を構築せんとして発表されたのが"Sorai and Xunzi on the Construction of the Way"である。同時に又、この研究過程において、同氏の所謂「儒教的構造主義」の考え方を「基本的人権」の問題において展開し、討論した内容をまとめたものが、"A Confucian Vision of Human Rights"である。そこにおいては、上記のごとき考え方が、所謂「基本的人権」の問題に対して遺憾なく展開され、「基本的人権」の哲学的本質と現実社会における意味づけが行なわれている。以上、二年間の研究内容を遺憾なく纏め上げたのが本年度の成果である。
