本年度前半は、ヨーロッパにおける長期的な資料文献収集調査を実施し、資料読み込みのための仏・蘭語学研修を受講しながら研究を進めてきた。後半は、国内外の学会・研究会で積極的に研究発表をおこなうと同時に、上智大学において博士論文資格試験を受験し、合格した。1)学会・研究会における研究発表:(1)「東南アジア地域における遺跡保存と地域社会-アンコール遺跡(カンボジア)を事例として」第32回環境社会学会セミナー、2005年12月10日、於:関西学院大学(2)Heritage Tourism and Local : Cases in Phimai (Thailand) and in Angkor (Cambodia). Sophia University COE international symposium, December 31 2005 - January 1 2006, Siem Reap, Cambodia (3)Comparative Study on Cultural Heritage Management and Tourism : Cases in Phimai (Thailand), and in Angkor (Cambodia), The World Archaeology Congress, January 12-15 2006, Osaka2)海外調査:仏・蘭調査(2004年4月〜8月)を実施。ルメール保存研究センター(ベルギー)においてフランス革命後のフランスを中心にした遺跡保存および修復に関連する資料を収集した。また、Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal, Land en Volkenkunde(オランダ王立言語・考古研究所)資料室において、19世紀後半から1940年までのオランダ植民地期時代のボロブドゥール遺跡に関する考古発掘および修復報告書を収集した。8月から1ヶ月にわたって実施した、カンボジアおよびタイにおける現地調査では、アンコール遺跡周辺およびピマーイにおいて遺跡保存に関する最近の動きを把握するため、インフォーマルなインタビューを現地政府関係者中心に実施した。
