1 『沙石集』の写本のうち、京都大学付属図書館蔵の長享本『沙石集』について、調査をした。長享本『沙石集』は、流布本系統の中で、最も書写年代の古いものであり、他本には見られない独自の本文を持っている。しかし、従来、特に巻9が、長享本の独自性が際立つ本文を持ってあり、『沙石集』全体の本文変化の様相を知るための鍵を握るのではないかと言われてきたことに関しては、その特徴は長享本のみに限定されるものであり、『沙石集』伝本成立過程の中の古本系から流布本系へと至る流れを解明する手がかりとは成り得なかった。また、神宮文庫本についても調査を始めた。独特の記事を多く含む本であるが、なぜそのような特殊な本文を持ち得たかについては、現在も考察中である。2 前年度から引き続き、無住とかかわりの深い寺であったと思われる三河の実相寺についての調査を進めた。実相寺二世の無外爾然と無住は恐らく交流を持ったと考えられ、無外爾然が台密の『阿婆縛抄』初伝者であったことから、無住と天台密教という大きな流れに視点を移した。無住の止住した終わりの長母寺の近くにある密蔵院は、台密葉上流を伝える大寺であることもあり、栄西・栄朝・円爾と伝えられた台密葉上流の展開に関して、秘密灌頂を受けたと記していることも誇張ではないと思われ、台密葉上流の教義や、また『阿婆縛抄』という書物自体からの影響についても、考察を進めている。実相寺の近くにある岩瀬文庫には、特殊な表現の目立つ『沙石集』岩瀬文庫本が蔵されていることもあり、実相寺を取り巻く僧侶と書物の交流から、無住自身の教義の多様性を解き明かし、それが数度に渡る『沙石集』改編とどのように連動していくのか、考察を進めた。
