２０２２年度は、新型コロナウイルスの流行の影響を受けて、一部の史料所蔵機関から閲覧の許可をえられなかったため、計画を再考して二年目に実施する予定であった実業補習学校（実補）における女子教育の研究と関東地方の実補の事例研究を中心に取り組んだ。国立教育政策研究所教育図書館、群馬県立文書館、群馬大学中央図書館、寒川文書館、福岡共同公文書館、神奈川県立図書館、千葉県文書館、千葉県立図書館、東京都公文書館、東書文庫、国立国会図書館、市立五條文化博物館を訪問して史料調査を行い、実補の設置状況や農業教育・裁縫教育など教育内容に関する史料、地方教育会雑誌、地方名望家の経営する養蚕結社の学習活動に関する史料などを撮影・収集した。また、前年度までの史料調査で収集していた群馬県庁文書、滋賀県特定歴史公文書、伊香郡役所文書などの解読・分析を進めた。以上の作業によって、（１）１８９０年代から１９００年代にかけて実補の制度設計に携わった横井時敬の実補における農村女子教育構想を解明し、（２）主に群馬県を対象地域として、日露戦争後の実補における女子教育の実態を裁縫教育と裁縫教師をめぐる言説から明らかにした。研究成果は、「明治後期の実業補習学校における女子教育と裁縫教師」と題して、教育史フォーラム・京都第４９回研究会で報告した。また、報告内容を論文化して同会の会誌に投稿し、査読をふまえて修正中である。２０２３年度は、引き続き各地の実補・青年訓練所、青年学校の史料を収集しつつ、研究成果を査読誌に投稿する。
