项目摘要

1.千唐仁集落における新潟水俣病問題と地域の社会変動の過程を重ね、地域住民による自主的な健康被害調査の実施と調査による被害顕在化の過程を、「調査による被害者のエンパワーメントの過程」として明らかにするとともに、被害の母集団としての地域社会を文化的、社会的、歴史的に考察することの重要性を、「社会学的疫学手法」として提示した。研究成果は、「千唐仁の新潟水俣病」(『阿賀よ伝えて』所収の小論)として発表した。また、IJJSの英文論文(次年度刊行の特集の一部となる原稿、印刷中)にまとめた。2.地域社会の風景の変遷を、写真資料やヒアリングなどを通して復元的に構成し、新潟水俣病被害者の日常と重ね合わせた。また、水俣病と新潟水俣病とを比較することを通して、水俣病問題の多元性(および多様性)、地域性、そこから導き出される教訓などについて検討した。このような論点は、研究会「環境倫理と公共哲学」において提示した。3.「政治解決」以降の新潟水俣病をめぐる動向について、主要な3つのアクター(ふれあい館、共闘会議、安田の会)ごとに整理・分析し、アクター間の、ゆるやかなネットワークと相互補完的な関係性を析出した。この内容は、既に刊行されている『新潟水俣病問題』の改訂版に「補論」として公表する予定である(印刷中、今年度末日までに刊行予定、校正済み)。
