项目摘要

本研究は、多言語社会イギリスにおける言語的多様性に対応した国語教育論を試行モテルとして検討することによって、多文化・多言語共生の観点にもとづく国語教育の内容構成及びカリキュラム開発の視点を提出するための基礎的研究である。特に、イギリスにおいて、生徒の言語的多様性を国語科の中で意識させるようなアプローチ「言語意識学習(Language Awareness)」に着目し、その実践的課題を明らかにすることを目的としている。本年度は研究の最終年度であるため、これまでの研究成果をまとめることも課題となっている。本年度の成果を含めた、全体の成果を以下3点にまとめる。1.イギリスにおける言語意識学習に関する実践的課題を、文法学習の史的検討を行うことにより指摘した(本年度、『宇大国語論究』第18号にて発表)。多文化多言語状況を視野に入れて提案された言語意識学習は、当初は、文法学習という国語の規範を扱う領域において位置付けられたことを確認した。そしてそれはロンドン学派の言語学者らによる社会言語学の発展により裏付けられていたという、学問的基盤についても検討した。同時に、こうした経緯が、学習者の言語意識を活用するという学習方法の開発を困難にしたという可能性についても指摘した。2.イギリスにおけるメディアリテラシー領域と作文領域に関する資料を収集し、読み書き能力をメディア領域にまで拡大してカリキュラム開発・評価することが、生徒の言語的多様性への対応の一環となることを確認した。この点については、専門家(英国映画研究所教育部長)への意見聴取や、教材及び評価テストの検討を行った。イギリスにおけるこのメディアリテラシーの試みは、生徒が既に獲得している言語意識を活用するという、言語意識学習の方法論につながるものであり、新しい実践課題として整理することができた。3.イギリスでの現地校調査(平成16年実施)と、宇都宮市の小学校での調査(平成15年実施)において、生徒の言語意識を表出させ意識させる方法について試行した。異文化接触場面を想定したテクスト生成行為が、生徒の既有の言語意識をいかに表出させるか、またそれをどのように評価すべきかについて検討した。以上、3年間の研究から、生徒の言語的多様性が国語教育カリキュラムに生かされるには、生徒個々の多様な言語的背景と言語意識が教室で表出され教材化されるような方法論の開発が必要であり、特にマルチメディアを視野に入れたテクスト生成場面の設定が有効であるとの仮説を得た。

Cultural contact scenes are thought to generate behavior, speech awareness, and evaluation. In the past three years, the research on the diversity of students 'speech has been carried out. The background of students' diversity of speech and speech consciousness have been shown in the classroom. The development of methodology has been necessary. The setting of special fields of vision has been achieved.
