项目摘要

今年度は、現代論理学の手法に基づいて、自然言語の意味論および文法(統語論)の研究を行い、その成果を論文として発表した。また、意味論と語用論のインターフェイスに関する研究を行い、その成果を学会発表・論文の形で公表した。今年度の補助金は、主に、学会での研究発表のための旅費、及び、研究に関連する哲学・言語学・論理学の文献の購入費に当てられた。1.自然言語の意味論と文法の関係について、カテゴリー文法の観点から研究した。カテゴリー文法の枠組みを、(i)初期分析哲学におけるフレーゲ、ラッセルの文形成の理論、(ii)ギーチの型変換規則に基づく拡張、(iii)ゲンツェンの証明論と接合させたランベックの研究、という3つの段階において確認した。その上で、証明論的手法(とりわけ自然演繹)に基づく枠組みが、(a)カリー・ハワード対応を介して、タイプ理論に基づく従来の意味論の枠組みと自然に結びつくこと、(b)それによって、日本語・英語の具体的分析の場面で豊かな応用可能性を有していることを確認した。この成果に基づき、自然言語の文法・意味論研究における現代論理学の意義-とくに証明論的手法の意義-を概観した論文「自然言語と論理」を発表した。2.意味論と語用論のインターフェイスに関して、(a)指示的表現と述語的表現の区別が、発話解釈における語用論的推論の適用範囲に重要な制約を与えていること、(b)その帰結として、関連性理論の基本的テーゼである「言語的決定不十分性のテーゼ」に制限があることを明らかにした。この成果は、2005年7月にイタリアで開催された第9回国際語用論学会において発表され、論文(「叙述名詞句と語用論的解釈-自由拡充プロセスにたいする意味論的制約をめぐって」)として公表された。なお、この成果は、西山佑司氏(慶應義塾大学)との共同研究に基づくものである。

This year, the basic methods of modern logic, the meaning theory of natural speech and the grammar (unified language theory) have been studied in practice and the achievements have been presented. The research on meaning theory and pragmatics is carried out in the course of study, and the results are published in the form of papers. This year's grant covers the cost of research and development, and the purchase of literature related to philosophy, linguistics and logic. 1. A Study on the Meaning Theory of Natural Speech and the Relationship between Grammar (i) the theory of the formation of the text in the early analytical philosophy,(ii) the basic expansion of the rules of the transformation of the type,(iii) the proof theory of the connection, the research of the stage, and the confirmation of the stage. The method of proof theory (natural deduction) is based on the theory of meaning,(a) the theory of meaning is based on the theory of meaning,(b) the situation of concrete analysis in Japanese and English is based on the possibility of application. Based on this achievement, the paper "Natural Speech and Logic" is presented in an overview of the significance of modern logic-the significance of the method of proof theory-in the study of grammar and meaning theory of natural speech. 2.(a) The representation of deixis and the representation of predicates;(b) The conclusion of pragmatics;(c) The basic theory of relevance;(d) The decisive indeterminacy of speech.
