项目摘要

申請者は、平成10年度財団法人医療科学研究所より研究助成を得て、「男性看護職(看護士)の職域拡大に関する社会学的研究」を、平成13年度および平成14年度には厚生科学研究費補助金を得て「看護職における男女共同参画の課題と可能性に関する研究」を主任研究者として実施し、看護領域に焦点をあて、これまで当該テーマに関するデータを蓄積してきた。本研究の初年度においては、(1)看護職・介護職における男性性に焦点をあてた運動の現況を追跡(ネット上で男性看護師の情報交換・相談の場である「日本男性看護師会」を運営する主催者、および、同じくネット上と地域で男性保健師の情報交換・交流の場をおもに沖縄県を中心に運営する主催者に聞き取り調査を実施)するとともに、(2)さらに看護職・介護職だけに限らない広範囲な職業領域を対象に男性ピンクカラーをめぐる現状の把握を目指し、各地で面接による聞き取り調査を実施(看護・介護職者への聞き取り調査対象を理論的サンプリングによって対象拡大するとともに、きわめて少数派である「男性保健師」、「男性養護教諭」らへの聞き取り調査も実施)した。今年度は、男性ピンクカラー内部における職業間での差異(職場環境、クライアントとの関係性、関連職種との関係性等)に注目しながら従来の聞き取り調査を継続するとともに、同じ医療領域における対照的な存在としての「女性医師」に対しても初めてその経験に関する聞き取り調査を実施した(地域、専門分野、年齢等多様な対象に実施)。さらに、職業・感情・ジェンダーをめぐる社会における一般的な規範意識を確認するため、地域限定的ではあるが、小・中・高校生を対象とした職業イメージに関する調査票調査を実施した。これらのデータから、今後より多角的な当該テーマに関する検討が可能になることと予想される。
